Dentistry at EUC
The Bachelor of Dental Surgery at EUC offers a modern curriculum based on the highest European and North American dental education standards. Students are trained in the fundamentals of human health and disease with relevance to the oral environment using a curriculum closely integrated to the biomedical sciences. Students undertake classes in state-of the-art facilities including the anatomy dissection room and clinical and technical skills labs with patient simulators and a range of dental equipment. A diverse student body and faculty ensures a collaborative learning environment and a global perspective in the field of dental health.
Graduates automatically qualify to work as general practitioners anywhere within the 32 European Union and European Free Trade Association member states. Membership to the Association of Dental Education in Europe ensures compliance with any updates of the profile and competences for the graduating European dentist.

The Bachelor of Dental Surgery offers a modern curriculum based on the highest European and North American dental education standards with particular consideration on the “2009 Update of the Profile and Competences for the Graduating European Dentist”, which is approved by the Association of Dental Education in Europe (ADEE). The Department of Dentistry, School of Medicine is a member of ADEE.
State-of-Art Facilities
Pre-clinical and clinical dental training takes place in a state-of-the-art facilities and is taught by very qualified academic dental faculty. Labs include among others a Haptic Simulator’s lab, Digital Dentistry and Digital Planning Lab, Anatomy Lab, Dental Simulation Lab and Dental Clinic
Technology Enhanced Learning utilizes Haptic and Dental Radiology Simulators which provide students a proper and extensive learning process before they can perform procedures to patients correctly.
Careers in Dentistry
Most graduates can work in their private clinics or private or public hospitals and community clinics. Graduates can specialize in various disciplines such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry, pediatric dentistry or orthodontics.
EUC Dental Clinic
The primary role of the EUC on campus Dental Clinic is the training of dental students to become qualified dentists with key skills and clinical competencies. The oral care provided by our dental students is overseen by highly experienced dentists, dental specialists and university professors. UNHCR/Global Refugee Forum Pledges—Free Dental Care Services to Refugees
Supporting the activities of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR Cyprus) and the Global Refugee Forum (GRF), the EUC School of Dentistry has pledged to provide free dental care services to refugees and asylum seekers through the Dental Clinic. EUC’s pledge at the GRF advances the university’s objectives of social inclusion and equal access to healthcare.
