The European Union’s Erasmus program allows students from all EU member states to complete part of their studies or to have their professional placement in another member state of the EU. It offers European youths the opportunity to reside for a considerable length of time which can last up to 12 months for every course in another European country and to get to know its culture and traditions thus contributing to the creation of a pan-European identity.
The Erasmus program supports activities in all sectors of Life Long Learning (School Education, Higher Education, Vocational Education and Training, Adult Education) as well as youth and sports. The program, in which all Cypriots universities participate, is managed by the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes (IDEP).
