Committee of International Relations, Programs and Mobility

The Committee on International Relations, Programs and Mobility undertakes initiatives and action concerning the development, process and promotion of agreements on international relations, programs and mobility.

 

The Committee is composed by:

  • The Vice-Rector on Research and External Relations (ex-officio), Chair
  • The ECTS Institution Coordinator (ex-officio) , Vice-Chair
  • The ERASMUS Officer (ex-officio)
  • The Director of Admissions and Marketing  (ex-officio)
  • Faculty members (one from each School) designated by the Senate (with a 2-year term)
  • The Director of Student Affairs (ex-officio)
  • The Liaison with the Industry officer (ex-officio)
  • The Bilateral Agreements Officer (ex-officio)
  • A student representative (with a 1-year term)
 
 

The Committee takes action concerning the development, process and promotion of agreements on international relations, programs and mobility. More precisely the Committee:

  • Develops guidelines, completes the development and handles the conclusion of bilateral agreements with other universities and organizations.
  • Takes initiatives, develops and submits for approval by the appropriate university bodies recommendations on policies and regulations concerning international relations and programs.
  • Takes initiatives, develops and submits for approval by the appropriate university bodies recommended policies and regulations concerning mobility of students and staff in general, and ERASMUS/other European mobility programs in particular.
  • Processes and ratifies agreements pertinent to the purpose and responsibilities of the Committee.
  • Takes care, after approval and signing of the above agreements, for their implementation  by the appropriate offices of International Relations, Programs and Mobility, which act under the supervision of the Director of University Relations and International Programs and in cooperation with the appropriate faculty and/or administration.
  • Develops a complete annual action plan prior to the beginning of the academic year, and evaluates annually the progress of the above signed agreements.
  • Develops criteria for the selection of students and/or staff to participate in mobility programs.
  • Takes care for the establishment of the appropriate data banks and for maintaining relevant to the agreements and their implantation record and data by the appropriate offices of International Relations, Programs and Mobility.
  • Updates regularly the Senate on issues pertaining to international relations, programs and mobility.
