1st prize at the Researcher's Night 2017
European University Cyprus School of Medicine won first prize for “Best Activity” in the context of the “2017 Researcher’s Night”. The University School of Medicine presented the activity “Exploring the Brain” , where Professors of Medicine Elizabeth Johnson, Dimitris Ntourakis, Constantinos Tsamis, Elias Nikas and Elpida Nikolousi encouraged the audience to meet the world of the Brain. During the event, the European University Cyprus research team used interactive activities and games to introduce visitors to the principles of neuroscience and familiarise them with human brain models and the microscopy of neurones.
The Medical School’s achievement was made possible following the close cooperation between the Anatomy and Histology Laboratory of European University Cyprus and the Neurosurgical Institute of Ioannina.
The activities were carried out thanks to the dedication, team spirit and commitment of a group of forty undergraduate students of the European University Cyprus School of Medicine under the guidance of Professor of Medicine Dimitris Ntourakis. The "Researchers' Night" event is a grand celebration of science and research, organised annually in over 300 cities across Europe.
