ACA Commercial Awareness Workshop
The European University Cyprus Career Center in association with the School of Business Administration – Department of Accounting and Finance, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales organized a lecture on "ICAEW – The Importance of Commercial Awareness".
The speakers, Jacqueline Grisdale, Student Marketing Manager, UK region, and Mrs. Christina Diola, Members & Stakeholders Manager, presented the employment options in the financial sector. Emphasis was placed on how today, more than ever, young people need to form a portfolio of employment options, stressing the opportunities that open up with the worldwide recognized ACA professional qualification. Besides knowledge of finance, taxation and financial control graduates need to have a solid awareness of the business environment. The students worked in groups to understand the business scope of the Adidas International Organization and analyzed the issues and challenges faced in this business.
