Dean of European University Cyprus Law School in Legal Experts Group on the Cyprus Issue

The Dean of the Law School of European University Cyprus, Associate Professor Konstantinos Tsimaras, has been selected by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Anastasiades, to join the small group of legal experts on the Cyprus issue.

The group will support the President in the new round of negotiations for the settlement of the Cyprus Problem, which will take place in the near future, starting with the five-party meeting in New York.

The group will contribute, inter alia, to legally supporting the President during the negotiations.

Mr. Tsimaras inclusion in the group constitutes an honor for him, the Law School as well as European University Cyprus.

Associate Professor Tsimaras holds a Master’s Degree in Public Law and Political Science and a Doctorate in Law from the University of Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne), as well as postdoctoral research at the universities of Toledo and Lisbon. He has worked as a Lecturer at the Ionian University and the Democritus University of Thrace, and as a Visiting Professor at the Law School of the University of Toulouse, while he is an Associate Professor and Dean of the Law School of European University Cyprus. He has served as an expert on the European Commission’s “Safer Internet Plus” Program Committee, at the Council of Europe, and as an external collaborator of the European Institute of Public Administration. He has also contributed to publications on public law and public administration and has been a leading expert on various European research projects.
