Neuroscientist Semir Zeki talks about ‘The Neurobiology of Beauty’ at European University Cyprus

Internationally acclaimed Neuroscientist Semir Zeki, Professor at University College London and Fellow of the Royal Society is visiting Cyprus at the end of March in the context of an Advanced Course of the Marie-Slodowska Curie i-conn Research Network, in which European University Cyprus (EUC) and the research organisation AAI Scientific Cultural Services Ltd (AAISCS) also participate.

Prof. Zeki specializes in the study of the visual brain of primates and more recently the neural correlations of emotional states, such as the experience of love, desire, and beauty created by sensory inputs in the field of neuroaesthetics.

On the occasion of Prof. Semir Zeki’s visit to Cyprus, European University Cyprus in collaboration with AAISCS is organising an event on Thursday 31 March at 6.30 pm at the Cultural Centre of EUC during which Prof. Zeki will give a lecture in English titled “The Neurobiology of Beauty”.
