Full Scholarship in Digital Education and Innovation

The Department of Education Sciences announces one full PhD scholarship (100% of the tuition fees) for 2020-2021 in Digital Education and Innovation.

Duties: As part of this scholarship, the PhD student is expected to work 120 hours per semester (average 10 hours per week for 3 months per semester) for the Digital Enhanced Learning (DeL) project of the University. The PhD student will monitor and document student usability and student work with DeL activities in courses taught by faculty. The PhD student should be in close weekly contact with the DeL coordinator (Professor Marios Vryonides) and with any other faculty needed for the work to be carried out as indicated by the Del coordinator. Each semester the PhD student should provide one full multi-case study paper of a particular use of Del features as per the plan that will be established with the Del coordinator. Each semester, the PhD student will coordinate and carry out the Del student/faculty evaluation and produce the reports. During the duration of the scholarship, the PhD student will have to produce at least 2 SCOPUS conference papers (or journal papers) related with the Del implementation at EUC. Support for presenting to the conferences will be provided by the University.

The student is expected to live in Cyprus and work at the EUC campus in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Qualifications:

Background (BA or MA) in both (a) and (b)

  1. Education Sciences
  2. Educational Technologies or Digital Learning or Computer-supported Learning or relevant fields in technologies in education or computer science

Research experience in relevant projects will be counted as an additional qualification
