Professor Kostas Gouliamos elected representative of Cyprus to the European Academy of Sciences & Arts

The Cyprus Rectors’ Conference announced that it was informed with great pleasure that its member, Professor Kostas Gouliamos, Rector of European University Cyprus, has been elected to represent Cyprus at the European Academy of Sciences and Arts until the end of 2024.

The Cyprus Rectors’ Conference has also underlined that professor Gouliamos’ elected position was ratified by the Presidium and the Senate of the European Academy of Sciences & Arts. 

Moreover, the Cyprus Rectors’ Conference described Gouliamos’ elected appointment as a particular honor for him personally and for the entire Cyprus academic community and conveyed its congratulations wishing him a productive term for the benefit of Sciences and the Arts in the Republic of Cyprus.

The European Academy of Sciences and Arts is a non-governmental European association committed to promoting scientific and societal progress. 

Founded in 1990 and based in Salzburg/Austria, the European Academy includes 26 Nobel Prize as well as 2000 members worldwide who are leading scientists, intellectuals and artists.

The European Academy of Sciences & Arts members are elected for their outstanding achievements in science and arts. 

It is worth noting that Rector Kostas Gouliamos has been elected Ordinary Member of the European Academy of Sciences & Arts in 2018.
