Τhis program is designed for highly motivated students who wish to acquire advanced research and intellectual (analytical) skills in the area of business administration. The aim of the program is to prepare a generation of highly effective PhD scholars aiming to pursue careers in the academia or consulting in the private or public sector. The program provides students with a solid theoretical background and the opportunity to conduct innovative, highly and advancing the field focused research in business administration, for the purpose of creating new knowledge.

The Ph.D. program in Business Administration of the Department of Management and Marketing announces a limited number of places for doctoral studies in the Fall Semester 2021 (commencing October 2021), in one/a combination of the following areas:

  • Value Creation/co-creation
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Digital Marketing
  • Strategic Knowledge Management
  • Velocity Management
  • Consumer Behaviour (Heritage Consumption/ Identity Formation)
  • The impacts of Environmental Management /Sustainable Development Practices upon Hotel Performance.
  • The impacts of Workforce Diversity Management Practices upon Firm Performance and more specifically Hotel Performance.
  • Investigating the role of local, regional, national and international governance in tourism policy, planning and development of small island destinations.
  • Exploring issues of long-term effects of over-tourism and climate change for the sustainable development of small island destinations.
  • The role of tourism for local and rural population in the tourism planning and development and its contribution for escaping the state of marginalisation of small island destinations.

General Information for Doctoral Studies
European University Cyprus announces every academic year a limited number of places for doctoral studies in both Fall and Spring Semester (commencing September and February, respectively). Applications are submitted using the special application form available here link. All necessary supporting material accompanying the application are described in the application form. Last day for submitting applications:
  • For Fall Semester: Initial deadline: 28 February per year (if positions remain available, additional applications for these positions are accepted by the 30 of May and the 31 August per year)
  • For Spring Semester: 1 November per year.
