We received the Great Place to Work certification for the 2nd consecutive year confirming the modernizing changes carried out at the University which have led it to development exceeding all expectations, upgrading the scope and quality of university education in Cyprus, and defining a clear international orientation for the university.

The Director of Human Resources of European University Cyprus, Loukia Polygerinou-Tzirka, among others, stated: “Distinctions such as the Great Place to Work do not only give prestige to our University. They set the bar high for the continuous development and modernization of our corporate culture in order to maintain a working environment in which our 1.000+ employees feel safe and simultaneously free to develop their skills and contribute to the success of themselves and the organization. For us, proud and satisfied employees are the best ambassadors of the university and the values it represents.”

The feeling of inclusion and involvement is a cornerstone for the satisfaction of the the EUC’s human resources. At the same time, the use of innovative technologies and the implementation of best practices that meet international standards make the working environment one characterized by a spirit of cooperation, collegiality, teamwork and responsibility, with a constant focus on the students.

In a related statement, the General Manager of A Great Place to Work, Kyriakos Iakovides, said “The successful certification of European University Cyprus in 2021 and its inclusion in the Cyprus’ Best Workplaces™ 2022 list has documented the human-centered strategy adopted by the management of the university to create a positive work environment. Their successful assessment for the second consecutive year highlights its commitment to maintain and continuously improve this working environment.”

It is noteworthy that for European University Cyprus, 2022 marked the launch of its Medical School in Frankfurt, a move that is part of its international expansion strategy. The new Medicine branch in Frankfurt is an important milestone that paves a new era for Cypriot university education as it is the first time that a Cypriot university attempts this type of evolution abroad.

In addition, the University has begun work on an expansion of the University Campus, which will be completed in early 2024, as part of the University’s long-term strategic plan for growth and innovation. The new building will serve the increasing needs of the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, as well as the Health Sciences programs.

European University Cyprus belongs to Galileo Global Education, the largest university education group in Europe, with a network of 54 academic institutions with more than 210,000 students in 18 countries and has been associated with quality education, high-tech innovation, connectivity with industry and society, and the high employability of its students and graduates.
