International Student Services

Orientation

While all first-year students participate in orientation, special orientation sessions are arranged to meet the needs of our international students. A great time to explore the campus and surrounding areas and to meet other new students, faculty and staff, these sessions help participants understand  “how things work” at EUC and in Cyprus. You will gain practical knowledge about, for example, banking hours, public transport, immigration procedures and university policies, along with learning about how to make the most of your student life at EUC.This orientation will include a tour of Nicosia so you can get a first-hand look at all the capital of Cyprus has to offer for your university experience. Our student advisors will be available to help international students settle into their new environment. Download our OrientationHandbook here.

Airport Pick Up

The University can arrange a pick-up service from either  of the two Cyprus airports—the main Larnaca International Airport or the smaller Paphos Airport. Larnaca is only 45 km from the university and Paphos is 147 km from the university. Students requiring a pick-up service must notify the University at least 48 hours prior to their arrival, providing date, flight number and time of arrival. You can reach the University by taxi or shuttle bus. A 24-hour taxi service operates from Larnaca to Nicosia, at a cost of €50 before 20:30 and €55 after 20:30 for a small taxi €75 for big taxi. From Paphos to Nicosia the cost is €160 for a small taxi and €180 for the big one.

Airport Shuttle Bus Service

Immigration

The study visa is usually the main document legalizing an international student’s presence in Cyprus. Student visas are needed for all non-EU nationals who wish to study in Cyprus. A non-EU student will need to have an approved entry visa prior coming to Cyprus. The Office of Admissions offers full guidance on the issue of student visas, deadlines and requested documents.
