Athens Medical Group (AMG) was established in 1984 with the  goal of providing high quality, integrated healthcare services, based on a patient–centered approach. From the first years of its operation, it became a “catalyst” for progress in healthcare, being the first Greek medical institution to introduce state-of-the-art medical equipment and secure collaborations with distinguished scientists, thus providing services comparable to those of internationally acclaimed hospitals.  

European University Cyprus and Athens Medical Group have signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation for the clinical training of EUC medical students at the Group’s high-tech hospitals in Athens and Thessaloniki. 

The German Medical Institute (GMI) is a modern center of excellence in the diagnosis, treatment and research of cancer in Cyprus, serving  approximately 13,700 patients annually with the support of more than 90 highly qualified doctors. 

The German Medical Institute is a leading cancer hospital in the application of progressive treatment methods, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, brachytherapy and targeted therapy.  The state-of-the-art departments including a radiotherapy unit, a nuclear physics unit, a pathology/ immunopathology unit, a medical physics unit, a targeted therapy unit, a molecular imaging unit, a pharmacology unit and a dedicated oncology ICU.   

As an exclusive training site, the German Medical Institute exposes EUC School of Medicine students to the latest best practices in diagnosis and treatment of patients with cancer during their oncology junior (year 4) and senior (year 6) clerkship rotations. 

The Start-Up Center powered by Microsoftis located on the EUC campus and is the evolution of the long-standing Microsoft Innovation Center. It serves as a source of funding and support fostering partnerships between entrepreneurs and initiators in the broader region and is open to students, faculty, researchers, IT professionals and investors. It assists tech-entrepreneurs by supporting and refining their ideas, ultimately helping to bring those ideas to the market by providing the necessary networking and resources. Drawing on the University’s existing strong foundation as a center of research and knowledge transfer and as an incubator and accelerator for industry solutions, the Center plays a vital role in generating powerful ideas and implementing new solutions that both inspire and ensure sustainable economic growth. 

Hadassah University Hospital was the first hospital established in Jerusalem in 1918.  Today the Hadassah University Medical Center is comprised of  two University Hospitals with 850 doctors, 1940 nurses, 1000 beds, 31 operating rooms, 9 intensive care units and 5 schools of allied medical professions.  EUC School of Medicine and Hadassah University Hospital have established a strategic network alliance to advance innovative clinical training and collaborative research initiatives. 

Founded in 1999, the American Medical Center (AMC) is a state-of-the-art healthcare center. Originally, known as the American Heart Institute (AHI), it operated  as a specialized diagnostic and interventional cardiology centeroffering  cardiac disease prevention and rehabilitation services, across the full spectrum of adult cardiothoracic surgery.   Today, AMC has expanded to include several frontline disciplines, including neurosurgery, breast center, plastic surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, with close to 150 specialists. The facility includes 8 operating theaters, 80 beds, ICU, and advanced clinical and diagnostic laboratories.   As an exclusive training site, the AMC’s pioneering state-of-the-art facilities and  internationally renowned staff contribute substantially to the clinical training of EUC School of Medicine students. 

IASO Children’s Hospital belongs to the IASO Group, one of the largest private Healthcare Groups in Greece. The pediatric clinic has been  operating since 2008 and includes 80 fully equipped beds with five pediatric intensive care units, three operating rooms,  collaborating  with more than 1,500 pediatricians and related specialists.  Under an exclusive agreement, EUC School of Medicine students undertake their junior (year 5) and senior (year 6) pediatric clinical clerkships at IASO Children’s Hospital in Athens. 

IASO General Maternity and Gynecology Clinic is one of the  leading  Maternity Hospitals in Greece, offering  specialized services including an Assisted Reproduction Unit (IVF), Gynecological Oncology Department, and a Radiation Oncology Center.  Its state-of-the-art facilities and renowned specialists – including EUC School of Medicine faculty –  have positioned the clinic among the top in Europe. Under an exclusive agreement, EUC School of Medicine complete their junior (Year 5) and senior (year 6) OB/GYN clerkships at the Clinic. 

EUC has partnered with GEDS France to support French-speaking students  applying to programs in Medicine, Dentistry, Biomedical Sciences and Physiotherapy.  Through a comprehensive and  user-friendly educational platform, GEDS assists students throughout the pre- and post-admissions process including program selection, document collection, interview preparation and campus visits arrangements. GEDS serves as  the main contact for French-speaking students from the initial stages  of the admissions process through to enrollment at EUC. 

 

European University Cyprus collaborates with CFA Institute through the University Affiliation Program, reflecting the alignment of its BSc in Economics and Finance with globally recognized standards in investment management. CFA Institute is the global association of investment professionals, setting the benchmark for excellence, ethics, and professional credentials in the financial industry. Its flagship CFA Program is widely regarded as one of the most respected qualifications for careers in investment, finance, and portfolio management. Through this collaboration, students gain access to specialized learning resources and early exposure to the CFA Program curriculum, strengthening their analytical, technical, and ethical competencies. Eligible students may benefit from receiving one of the three annual scholarships for the CFA Program exam, as well as access to ICAN, CFA Institute’s digital learning platform, offering self-paced resources and career insights.

European University Cyprus’ School of Business Administration and the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF) have established the MENA Centre of CCAF on the EUC campus. CCAF is a research institute of the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School and has collaborated with EUC since 2021. The EUC MENA CCAF Centre connects regional innovation in digital finance and provides evidence-based research to support stakeholders and policymakers in responding to financial innovation. The Centre has contributed to globally impactful research in collaboration with organizations such as the World Bank, the World Economic Forum and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  Its mission includes identifying frontier trends in fintech, understanding emerging technology-enabled business models, and analyzing the socio-economic impact of digital financial services. The Centre also develops open-access digital tools and delivers capacity-building and educational initiatives across the MENA region. 

European University Cyprus is a full partner of the Smaller (Strategic) Universities Network for Regional Innovation and Sustainable Evolution (SUNRISE Alliance). Under the 2024 Erasmus+ European Universities initiative, the €14.4 million project promotes international education, European values, research collaboration, academia–industry partnerships, and innovation and technology transfer.
