University Rector, Professor Andreas Efstathiou, welcomes you to one of the leading and most dynamic universities in Cyprus and the region. In his presentation, you will be given a brief introduction to European University Cyprus, its achievements and its vibrant and diverse community. Professor Efstathiou will also discuss how your studies at EUC will equip you with the most appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to respond to the competitive environment of today’s international market and workplace where innovation and analytical thinking are critical.

Professor Loizos Symeou, Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs, will present the strengths that EUC offers you in its educational processes and student support services through your school, department and program. You will learn about the academic practices that add value to your learning experience at EUC and how these positively differentiate EUC from other universities in Cyprus and the region.

Dr. Nikos Drosos, Assistant Professor in Career Guidance and Counselling, addresses some key questions regarding the future world of work:

  1. What skills and competencies do employers look for when hiring new employees? How can you develop them—now and in ten years’ time?
  2. What are the new trends in the world of work and what impact has the pandemic had on the workplace? Dr. Drosos will emphasize the necessity of soft skills development in the scope of the pandemic’s effects—all based on the most recent research.

Aaron Golub, Inspirational Speaker (first legally blind athlete to play football in a Division 1 game/ Financial Advisor Morgan Stanly). In this talk, you will have the chance to learn from the speaker’s experience how you can overcome any obstacle or challenge in front of you, and turn your disadvantages into your advantages. The speaker relates his story of becoming a ground-breaking athlete and how he achieved success in sports to how you can succeed no matter what. He encourages and inspires us to push through challenges, stay motivated, and have the right perspective to accomplish our goals.

Located only five minutes from campus and student housing, the New Life Health Center is a great student hub and place to exercise and relax in one of the most comprehensive fitness and health facilities in the city
