Cyprus in the European Social Survey

Thursday the 13th of May, a one-day conference “Cyprus in the European Social Survey” will be held at our University, Amphitheatre Delta, 09:30 a.m. -2:00 p.m.
The event is organized by the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences and the Office of the Vice-Rector.
 
  • The theme of the conference is on the results of the recent European Social Survey in relation to Cyprus.
  • There will be presentations on a number of topics on social issues, politics, education, research methods etc.
  • Please find attached the final program and an invitation (the conference is in GREEK).
 
The event is under the auspices of the Government Spokesman Mr. Stefanos Stefanou who is going to attend and declare the opening of the conference.
 
European Social Survey is an academically-driven social survey that employs the most rigorous methodologies designed to chart and explain the interaction between Europe’s changing institutions and the attitudes, beliefs and behaviour patterns of its diverse populations.
It should be also noted that the ESS was awarded Europe’s top annual science award, the Descartes Prize.
 
During the conference, there will be a book launch (edited by Prof. Kosta Gouliamos & Dr. Marios Vryonides) with essays written by scholars based on the data of the previous round of the ESS.
