IRIEM ESTABLISHES ANNUAL “K. GOULIAMOS AWARD FOR DOCTORAL RESEARCHERS”
The International Research Institute for Economics and Management (IRIEM), based in Hong Kong, unanimously decided to establish the “K. Gouliamos Award for Doctoral Researcher”. Aiming to honour the contribution of professor and author Kostas Gouliamos, IRIEM announced that this prize will be awarded annually to doctoral researchers and fellows who have completed their doctoral studies within one (1) year of graduation.
It should be noted that among the members of the International Research Institute for Economics and Management (IRIEM) are Nobel laureates and leading scientists from the international university and research community.
The “K. Gouliamos Award for Doctoral Researcher” of the International Research Institute for Economics and Management (IRIEM) focuses on the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities. The goal of IRIEM is to identify and reward outstanding students, as judged by an international, interdisciplinary evaluation committee, who, through their doctoral work, serve as examples of educated individuals in the scientific community.
In his statement, Professor and former Rector of European University Cyprus, Kostas Gouliamos, stated that “the decision to name this specific award reflects, among other things, the appreciation and acceptance of the Cypriot and Greek university community by international academic organizations”.
