Strategic Partnership signed between the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and European University Cyprus
European University Cyprus and China’s most significant institution in the social sciences, humanities and culture, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, have signed a ground breaking strategic partnership agreement.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in Beijing by the Academy’s Vice-President Gao Xiang and the University’s Rector Professor Dr. Costas Gouliamos. It is worth noting that European University Cyprus is one of very few universities in Europe with which the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences has signed such a memorandum. Among other activities European University Cyprus and the Chinese Academy will co-organize an international conference on an annual basis which will focus on the Belt and Road initiative, Chinese President’ Xi’s global development strategy. The first conference will be held in Cyprus in May 2020.
