Returning to Uni life is hard sometimes and the minutes between classes and lectures aren’t always by our side since being a student is a full-time job! A quick fast food may be our basic meal of the day, or -even worse- our dinner! Ordering out can’t be prohibited, it just needs to be carefully planned. Instead of getting a burger, try choosing a salad or a grilled chicken breast with vegetables for example. Preparing small and quick meals like a yogurt pot with nuts and honey for breakfast before a lesson, will boost you up and provide that energy you (desperately!) need to stay focused for the first morning lessons.

And while the day has just started and the first lesson is over, it’s still probably 11:00 am with more lectures and activities waiting for you around the corner. A small ham & cheese (try local halloumi maybe) is what you need! A simple but mouth-watering and quick meal which only requires a little bread, ham and halloumi cheese which can be found everywhere around the island. #Sayhaloumiiiii

Moving forward and seizing our day, it’s time to start thinking what our lunch will be. Try boiling some spaghetti, add some tomato sauce and sprinkle it with basil leaves and grated cheese! Get your necessary carbs while eating like an Italian with 10-15 minutes prep, and most important… stay healthy!

Although your free time is important, and you don’t want to miss time from hanging out with your friends, cooking doesn’t have to be a time-consuming chore. Stock up on fruit, vegetables, meat and get creative! A simple search will provide you with thousands of recipes and ideas for quick healthy meals which will result in you avoiding any junk in your diet and from your body!  Staying healthy is not only important for how our body functions it’s also essential for how well our brain performs so get into good eating habits fast and enjoy a great and healthy eating semester!
