The 1st Annual Dental Students Symposium by EUC Student Union & EUC Dental Students Association
This past weekend, the EUC Student Union along with the EUC Dental Students Association hosted the first annual Dental Symposium. Dental surgery students of all years had the chance to attend nine seminars of various disciplines including forensic odontology, oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontology, and restorative dentistry, along with a chance to learn about analgesics & antibiotics in dentistry, new technologies used in contemporary dental practices, and the motivational role of a dentist. A diverse number of hands-on workshops gave first- and second-year students a chance to prepare for their upcoming clinical years, and upper year students a glimpse into post-graduate training. The workshops of indirect vision skills along with haptic simulators, ceramic veneers, 3D printing in dentistry, dental photography, flaps & sutures for surgical extractions, diastema closure, implant planning & insertion, and ICON infiltration all had a high turnout and positive student & staff feedback. Numerous company stands were set up in the exhibition lobby, where students had the chance to learn about current and up-and-coming products and materials in the dental world.
